The club

Sport, sociability, and a sense of place.

Since 1900, KBGC has watched lawn bowls find its place in Hong Kong — and has given that place a clubhouse, a green, and a community of its own.

The Kowloon Bowling Green Club is Hong Kong’s first lawn bowls organization. Designated a Grade III historic building by the Antiquities and Monuments Office in 2010, the club continues to bring together serious play and the more leisurely rituals around it.

The history of KBGC
01The green

Lawn bowls,
properly played.

League games, national competitions, in-house competitions, and international events make the green a meeting point for players at every level.

02Beyond the green

Come for the game.
Stay for the evening.

Restaurant, bar, function rooms, and regular events keep the clubhouse in motion long after the last bowl has come to rest.
